Pakistan Hockey Federation appoints first 5A-Side Chief Minister Punjab National Women’s Hockey Championship Officers: Mrs. Abida Tanveer appointed Tournament Director, Rashid Mehmood Butt appointed as the Umpires Manager.
Under the auspices of Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab, the first Chief Minister Punjab National Women’s 5A-Side Hockey Championship will be played at National Hockey Stadium Lahore from September 7 to 12 under the auspices of Pakistan Hockey Federation. A panel of technical officials and umpires have been announced by the Pakistan Hockey Federation to conduct the event in accordance with the rules and regulations of the International Hockey Federation.
The Pakistan Hockey Federation has appointed Mrs. Abida Tanveer (Lahore) as the Tournament Director of the event while Miss Gulshan Nasreen (Lahore) has been appointed as the Assistant Tournament Director. PHF has appointed FIH Umpires Manager Rashid Mahmood Butt (Lahore) as Umpires Manager while Miss Razia Rizvi (Rawalpindi) will serve as Assistant Umpires Manager.
Among the technical officials are Miss Lubna Talat (Lahore), Miss Sonia Khan (WAPDA), Miss Komal Butt (Lahore), Miss Zeb Nisa (Lahore), Miss Sana Hanafi (Lahore), Miss Saba Saeed (WAPDA), Miss Parveen Shafi (Rawalpindi), Miss Sajida Latif (Faisalabad), Miss Banish Ali (Karachi) and Miss Muqaddas Fatima (Lahore).
The umpires panel includes Yasir Khurshid International (Railways), Hafiz Atif Malik International (Lahore), M Mazhar Wasim (Nankana Sahib), Banish Hayat International (WAPDA), Miss Gul Pari (KPK) and Miss Aqila Naseem (Lahore).
A briefing meeting of tournament officials, umpires and managers will be held on September 6. The meeting of umpires and technical officials will be held at 3:00 pm while the meeting of managers, captains and coaches of the participating teams will be held under the chairmanship of the tournament director at 4:00 pm.
