The 3rd Indoor Qatar Hockey League was an 8 team’s round-robin competition. Stars Hockey Team claimed the title of champions after defeating Mesaieed Hockey Club on 26 May 2017 at the Aspire Dome, Qatar. Stars Hockey Team won 7 – 5 in a thrilling final match.
The match began with Mesaieed taking the lead in the first few seconds and added a second goal before letting Stars get back up. But Stars eventually made a comeback with a brilliant performance to score two goals to equalize and three more before the end of the first half.  Despite Mesaieed’s attempt at early goals within the first few minutes of the second half, Stars quickly took the game away by making it 6 -3. The match ended 7 – 5.

After the match the closing ceremony took a place with presence of Mohamed Othmani the QHF Executive Director and Maggid Abu-Talib, the technical director with the chief guest Drik Dillschneider, Principal of the German International School in Doha.
