Under the Youth Hockey Development Vision, the 4th Chief Minister Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament organized by Pakistan Hockey Federation in collaboration with Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Balochistan and supervised by Balochistan Hockey Association. Three matches were played on the day.
The first match was played between Pakistan Islamabad and Sindh Colors, which Islamabad won by 2-0. Usman Ali scored both goals for Islamabad. The match was supervised by umpires Mohiuddin and Sajid; the duties of reserve empire were performed by Sibtain Ali. The duties of judges were performed by Muhammad Yaqub, Muharram Shiraz and Tariq Mahmood while the duties of technical officer were performed by Dr SA Majid.
The second match was played between the teams of National Bank and Balochistan Whites, which National Bank defeated Balochistan Whites by 12-0. Arsalan Qadir scored four, Abdul Hannan Shahid scored a hat-trick among other scorers for National Bank. The match was supervised by umpires Fahad Ali and Azeem. Abdul Manan was the reserve umpire. The judges of the match were M Shakeel, Idrees and Shafqat Malik while the duties of technical officer were performed by Dr SA Majid.
The third match was played between Pakistan Army and Port Qasim which Pakistan Army won by 1-0 after an interesting contest. The match was supervised by Haroon Rasheed and umpire Mazhar while Abdul Wali performed the duties of reserve umpire. The panel of judges included Ali Abbas, Muhammad Ali and Ali Hatim, while Dr SA Majid performed the duties of technical officer.
Olympian Anjum Saeed is acting as the tournament director of the event while international hockey umpire Kamran Sharif Chaudhry is acting as the umpires’ manager. Dr. SA Majid and Aslam Khan Niazi are the Assistant Tournament Directors of the event. Organizing Secretary Amjad Satti Secretary Balochistan Hockey Association is performing his duties.
