On the ongoing 9th National Games being held at Pokhara Nepal. October 16th, the 4th day of the men’s and women’s Hockey tournament were completed with the teams in the women’s competition finalizing their place in the semifinals.
From the women’s tournament Nepal Army winning all the pool matches and Far west Province coming in second have booked their place in the Semifinals from Pool A.
Gandaki province also won both their matches and has advanced to the semifinals from Pool B with Province 1 also booking their place in the semifinals after the win over Lumbini Province in today’s match.
Pool A
Army Played three matches and won 3 points 9
Farwest Province played three Matches and Won 2 points 6
Bagmati province played two Matches and won 0 loss 2 points 0
Madhesh Province Played two matches won 0 loss 2 points 0
Bagmati province will play Madhesh province tomorrow. Both teams are yet to register a win the tournament.
In the semifinals the Pool A leaders Nepal Army will take on Province 1 whereas Pool B point leaders Gandaki will take on Far west Province on October 18th.
The Men’s pool matches are ongoing and teams that will advance to the semifinals will be decided after tomorrow’s matches.

2. Province 1 played three matches, won 2, and lost 1 point 6
3. Gandaki province played three won 1, draw 1 and lost 1 point 4
4. Far west province played two matches won 0 drew 1 and lost 1 point 1
5. Madhesh province played two matches and lost 2 points 0

1. Nepal Police played two matches and won 2 points 6
2. Bagmati province played Two 2 and won 1 point 3
3. Karnali province played two Matches and won 1 lost 1 point 3
