A look back at Vietnam’s Olympic Day 2020 celebration

Olympic Hockey Day 2020: Bringing hockey closer to the community. In order to promote the development of hockey in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, on July 5 at the Ton Duc Thang University Stadium (District 7) Olympic Day celebrations took place at the Olympic Hockey Day 2020 event.

Attending the event were Mr. Mai Ba Hung – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Nguyen Ha Truong Hai – Provisional Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Hockey Federation; Mr. James Chew – Director of Vietnam Hockey Company; Mr. Pham Thanh Anh Khoa – Assistant Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology of Ton Duc Thang University and subjects, hockey clubs in the city.

At the event, people learned about hockey and the formation process in Vietnam. The hockey coach also taught basic techniques for playing the game, such as the use of sticks, playing postures, and defensive, offensive, and scoring techniques. After that, everyone will be able to directly practice the movements, take part in challenging obstacles, score many goals to win attractive gifts.

Mr. Nguyen Ha Truong Hai – Interim Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Hockey Federation said: “Over time, hockey has gradually developed and gradually built a position in our country. Through Olympic Hockey Day 2020, I hope this sport will continue to be more popular in the near future.”
