The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) is set to host its biggest meeting, the AHF Congress Mungyeong 2023. This meeting will take place on 24th March 2023 in the STX Resort Mungyeong city Korea. The AHF Congress 2023, which is being held after four years, is a major event in the Asian hockey calendar, bringing together all 33 member National Associations and 2 potential member NAs Bahrain and Kyrgyzstan.
The AHF Congress was initially scheduled to take place in 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed for two years. The congress is finally happening after four years, and it promises to be a memorable event for all participants.
The AHF Congress will comprise of three days of proceedings. On 22nd March, the AHF Executive Board Meeting will take place, followed by a Gala Dinner on 23rd March. Finally, the AHF Congress will take place on 24th March. The congress will be hosted by the Korea Hockey Association, and it will be attended by the AHF President, seven AHF Vice Presidents, all Executive Board Members, and delegations of all member National Associations.
The AHF Congress is an essential event for the AHF as it provides an opportunity for the federation to review its activities over the past four years and set goals for the future. Special guests who will grace the AHF Congress Mungyeong 2023 include the President of the International Hockey Federation, Dato Tayyab Ikram, and the IOC Athlete Commission Vice Chair, Seung Min Ryu. The Mungyeong City Mayor and Chairman will also be present, alongside the Korea Hockey Association as hosts.
