The Asian Hockey Federation would like to offer it’s condolences to the family of Raj Kumar Singh, who has unfortunately left this world for a better place. A thorough hockey veteran in Indonesia, Raj Kumar Singh dedicated his life to the sport of hockey and achieved many notable milestones, including the FIH President’s Award in 2018. He was without a doubt, the Father of Hockey in Indonesia. Mr. Raj Kumar Singh was currently the acting President of the Indonesia Hockey Federation. It is a sad day when we have to say good bye to a fellow hockey lover and dear friend.
“I am deeply saddened by this loss. We will miss the passion and dedication that Raj Kumar brought to the Hockey Family, my prayers are with his family in these most troubling of times.”, said AHF President, Mr. Fumio Ogura.
“Raj Kumar Singh was a dear friend and a fellow hockey enthusiast. I am at a loss of words upon hearing this sorrowful news. I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to Raj Kumar’s loved ones.”, said AHF Chief Executive, Dato Tayyab Ikram.
