A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Asian Hockey Federation and the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan for the purpose of strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the development of the sport of hockey in Turkmenistan. The Memorandum was signed on the 14th of November 2019. The Memorandum sets into place various activities, including experience and expertise exchange in training, conduction of mutual visits, and exchange of relevant programs and development plans among other key activities.
In addition to this, an International Hockey exhibition was held in Turkmenistan at the International Convention Center in Ashgabad from the 13th to 15th of November, 2019. The Asian Hockey Federation stall interacted with the public and gave a Hockey 5 demonstration. Hockey sticks were also presented to the public. The stall was visited by the Vice President of Turkmenistan.
