In the third day of the Indoor Cup in Chonburi, Thailand eight matches have been played with a 69 goals for both, Men’s and Women’s categories.

Men’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019

First up was Philippines versus Bangladesh, giving the latter team it’s first victory in the tournament by 0-9, although both of them are already out of chances to enter the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the host nation suffered their first defeat against Iran by 2-7, placing Thailand in 2nd place in Pool A.

In Pool B, Singapore showed a good performance against Nepal and won the match by 15-0, with chances to pass into the semi-finals. Kazakhstan, still on-top in the pool, had a comfortable 10-1 victory against Chinese Taipei.

Women’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019

In a head to head match, Nepal got its first three points with their third goal during the Second Half against Philippines, beating them 3-2. Sadly, it’s mathematically impossible for both debutants teams to qualify for the semi-finals. Holding 2nd place in Pool A, Kazakhstan did not give a chance to Iran and the matched ended 6-0.

In Pool B, Chinese Taipei defeated Singapore 4-0, winning their first game in the Cup. In a more competitive match between two strong teams, Thailand defeated Malaysia 2-1, securing them first place in Pool B.
