AirAsia Review of Day 7 – And The Champions Are…!

In the last day of the Indoor Cup in Chonburi, Thailand. Seven matches took place, in both Men’s and Women’s categories.

Men’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019: 

Iran and Kazakhstan played the Cup’s final match, where the defending champions sealed the victory 10-0. Playing an inredible game with endless attacks, demostrating how stronger the Iranien men are, deserving the gold and being once again winners of the Men’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019.

 In a very challening match for the 3rd place, both Uzbekistan and Malaysia threw everything at the game, with incredible discipline. But a very determined Malaysia was superior and got the victory 6-3, winning the bronce.

Meanwhile, Thailand defeated Singapore with their goal unbeaten by 4-0. The host nation worked really hard and were rewarded with the 5th place.

 

 

Women’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019:

In the Cup’s Final match, Thailand opened the score two minutes into the game, but the dominance changed a few minutes later as Kazakhstan calmly settled into the game-play and went ahead with two goals finishing the half 2-1. An incredibly tight second half ensured with the defending champions scoring once more, finishing the match 3-1, renewing their title and crowned once more winners of the Women’s Indoor Hockey Asia Cup 2019.

Malaysia and Uzbekistan played out another incredibly important and hard game, ending the match in 1-1, going into shootouts  where Sabina Adizova made the diffrence and got the Uzbekistan women the bronze.

Chinese Taipei defeated Iran 2-1, ending the draw during the second half and securing the game in their favour, earning the 5th place. Meanwhile, Nepal and Singapore finished 2-1, a match where both teams showed a good performance in what was their first tournament ever.
