The Argentine women’s national team, Las Leonas, began their training duties since the restart of the activity in the Argentina seaside city of Carilo. The main goal is to carry out a new physical preseason job with its sights set on the Olympic Games to be held next year in Tokyo. The squad underwent the corresponding PCR tests before traveling, which all gave negative results. The 27 players along with the coaching staff led by Carlos Retegui began training under the sanitary bubble modality, which means that the team will only move from the resort to the training camps in their own transport and without having contact with the residents of the city.

Meanwhile, the men’s national team, Los Leones, carried out the first practice in the framework of the Coronavirus in the City of Buenos Aires also under strict sanitary protocols. The team led by coach Germán Orozco only did physical work on the court during the first practice week. while next week they will gradually resume work on the court. It should be noted that each player used their own drink, which was labelled with their name. In addition, each member of the campus had their temperature taken upon entering training facility.

Both teams next big matches will be the ones from the FIH Pro League. The men will play against Germany on April 2nd and 3rd and against India on April 10th and 11th, in Tucuman, Argentina. While Las Leones will play against China on the 10th and 11th of April too, also in Tucuman.
