Asian Hockey Federation condoles the sad demise of Syed Ali Sibtain Naqvi who breathed his last on Wednesday 10 November 2021.
SAS Naqvi was an integral part of the Oman National Olympic Committee. SAS Naqvi coached the National Hockey Team of Oman for many years. He served Oman as Technical Advisor to five Olympic and five Asian Games. He had many awards to his names for the countless services he did to Hockey and sports in general.
President AHF Fumio Ogura condoled the demise of Syed Ali Sibtain Naqvi, “It is a grief to learn of the demise of Mr Naqvi. We will always remember him for his services to hockey.”
AHF Chief Executive & Secretary General Dato Tayyab Ikram extended his condolences to Mr Naqvi’s family. He said, “This is indeed sad news. I pray that the departed soul finds peace and that his family and friends can find the courage to cope with this immense loss. Mr Naqvi will always have a place in our hearts.”
