Asian Hockey Federation pays tribute to the Ex-President Bangladesh Hockey Federation on his illustrious career and life-time of service to hockey

 

Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, ndu, psc, recently retired from his long-standing position as the President of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation. The Asian Hockey Federation takes this opportunity to offer its gratitude for his support towards the growth and development of Hockey in Bangladesh.

In his time as the President of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, he has made very important contributions to hockey in Bangladesh. Together with the AHF, two top-level tournaments were planned in Bangladesh through his cooperation. Significant contributions were made towards the development of Hockey in Bangladesh during his tenure as President, BHF. A state-of-the-art pitch in Airforce Complex, Bangladesh is nearing completion, due to his hard work.

The Bangladeshi Coaches, Umpires and Officials have been enthusiastically engaged by him for the Online Education Activities organized by AHF, despite the challenges of COVID-19. The successful delivery of the International Olympic Committee Olympic Solidarity Development for National Sports System program was made possible due to his efforts. Under the Air Chief Marshal’s leadership, Bangladesh has been an active partner of the Asian Hockey Federation and has improved significantly in many aspects.

The AHF greatly appreciates all his efforts towards the growth, development, and promotion of Hockey and thank him for his valuable contribution, leadership, dedication, and efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Asian Hockey Federation Chief Executive and Secretary-General, Dato Tayyab Ikram said:

“It has been a great honour and privilege all these years to work closely with the Air Chief Marshal, Masihuzzaman Serniabat. We have accomplished great things together and cemented the future of hockey in Bangladesh during his tenure as President of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation.

During this time, I believe I have also developed an invaluable friendship with him, it has been a pleasure to work with him, and I can only wish him the best of luck for his future endeavours!”
