Chief Minister Baluchistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament: WAPDA, National Bank, Punjab Klar and Pakistan Army won the honour of playing in the semi-finals.

Under the Youth Hockey Development Vision, the quarter-finals of the Chief Minister Baluchistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Baluchistan and supervised by the Baluchistan Hockey Association were decided. The fourth quarter-finals were played today at the Ayub Sports Complex Astroturf Ground.

The first quarter-final was played between Pakistan WAPDA and Punjab Whites which Pakistan WAPDA won 1-4. Rana Wahid scored two goals for WAPDA while Umar Bhatta and M Tauseeq Arshad scored one goal each. Uzair scored the only goal for Punjab Whites. The match was supervised by umpires Faisal Siam and Sabteen Raza while Sajid Abbas remained the reserve umpire. The judges included Tariq Mahmood, Abdul Qayyum, Ghofran Shah and Yasir Lodhi, while Muhammad Ali was the technical officer.

The second quarter-final was played between National Bank and Islamabad which National Bank won 0-6. Dilbar Hussain scored two goals, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Ali Hassan, Shaun Irshad and Junaid Manzoor scored one goal each. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Wali Mohammad officiated the match while Fahad Ali Khan was the reserve umpire. The panel of judges included Irfan Zia, M Ahsan, Ali Abid and Munawar Hussain. The third quarter-final was played between Punjab Kills and Port Qasim Authority in which Punjab Colors won the match by 1-2 goals after a thrilling contest and got the honour of playing in the semi-finals. The match was supervised by umpires Haroon Rashid and Sohail Akram Janjua while M Azeem was the reserve umpire. The judges included Hamza Tufail, Shiraz Khurshid, M Idrees and Haji Hameed, while Ali Abbas performed his duties as a technical officer.

The fourth and final quarter-final was played between Pakistan Army and Baluchistan Colors which was won by Pakistan Army by 1-4 goals. They will compete with each other. According to tournament director Olympian Anjum Saeed, the timing and full schedule of the semi-final matches will be released tomorrow.
