On the second day of the Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament being played at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium Karachi, under the auspices of Naval Sports Directorate, under the supervision of PHF, Pakistan Air Force defeated Port Qasim Authority by 4-0. Pakistan Air Force Penalty Corner Specialist Rizwan Ali scored the first hat trick of the tournament. Rizwan Ali scored in the 30th, 36th and 54th minutes. Abdul Rahman scored the fourth goal for Pakistan Air Force. Rizwan Ali was declared the best player of the match. He was awarded the Man of the Match award by the famous hockey player Olympian Samiullah Khan. Tournament Director Olympian Nasir Ali and former Pakistan player Nadeem ND were also present on the occasion.
In the second match, defending champions National Bank defeated Pakistan Army by 3-0. Muhammad Dilbar, Abu Bakar Mahmood and Hanan Shahid scored one goal each for National Bank. Faisal Qadir of National Bank was declared the best player of the match.
The third match was played between Pakistan WAPDA and Mari Petroleum which ended in a 2-2 draw. Aleem Bilal and Aleem Usman scored goals for Pakistan WAPDA. Wasim Akram and Ali Anwar Negol scored for Mari Petroleum. The man of the match was Mari Petroleum’s goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiaq.
