Colin Batch has been named the 2019 Men’s FIH Coach of the year. The Australian Head Coach has had a great 2019 with the team. He is known for keeping his Team’s expectations high and this has produced great results for the Australian team.
Batch was appointed as the Head Coach of Australia in December 2016. The team has had great success during his four tenure, winning gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, 2018 Champions Trophy and the 2019 Oceania Cup, which led to qualification for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Colin Batch has built on the legacy of a winning mentality within his squad, he also has a great eye for upcoming talent, which has made his squad capable to keep on winning trophies. He hopes to make a huge impact in 2020 as well.
