Bengaluru, 01st March 2023: The fourth day proved to be a fruitful one for Railway Sports Promotion Board, All India Sports Promotion Board, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and All India Police Sports Control Board as they secured wins in their respective matches in the 3rd Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Champion 2023 in Bengaluru, Karnataka today.

 

In the first match of the day, Railway Sports Promotion Board defeated Sports Authority of Gujarat- Hockey Academy 6-0. Gursahibjit Singh (4′, 34′) and Joginder Singh (8′, 25′) started off well with two goals each for the Railway Sports Promotion Board. Ajit Kumar Pandey (28′) & Harsahib Singh (33′) also contributed one goal each and helped Railway Sports Promotion Board secure a comfortable victory against the Sports Authority of Gujarat- Hockey Academy.

 

In the second match, All India Sports Promotion Board defeated Central Reserve Police Force 5-2. Rahul C.J. (3′), Rosan Kujur (15+’), Nakul Malnad (28′), Talem Priyobarta (32′) and Pranam Gowda Y.M. (54′) scored crucial goals on regular intervals to acquire the lead against their opponent in the game. In reply, Harish Pal (23′) and Mohd. Wasiullah Khan (31′) scored one goal each for Central Reserve Police Force but in vain as Air India Sports Promotion Board managed to secure three more points on the points table.

 

In the third match of the day, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board defeated Tamil Nadu Police 9-1. Gurjinder Singh (1′,5′), Maninder Singh (21′,27′) and Talwinder Singh (29′,50′) scored two goals each on regular intervals whereas Rosan Minz (41′), Sunil Yadav (28′) and Captain Devindar Sunil Walmiki (31′) scored one goal each to help their side maintain the required lead. In reply M. Vijay (60′) scored a compensatory goal in the last minute of the game for Tamil Nadu Police.

 

In the last match of the day, All India Police Sports Control Board registered a fine 6-2 win against Sports Authority of India in their pool B match. Though it was Sports Authority of India, who got off the proceedings swiftly with an early goal in the 7th minute through Surya NM’s penalty corner, All India Police Sports Control Board equalised only in the 20th minute scored by Lalit Kumar Upadhyay. The match remained thrilling with Sports Authority of India’s Ravi Pal scoring in the very next minute. From the 26th minute onwards All India Police Sports Control Board upped their game and scored back-to-back goals to take lead in the match. Niraj Yadav (26′, 43′), Amarbir Singh (36′), Lalit Kumar Upadhyay (38′) and Hardip Singh Sembhi (49′) scored for the winning team.
