Jakarta was chosen as the destination for this year’s meeting with an agenda to discuss the AHF’s journey that was carried out keeping its vision in mind for the present as well as the future.

The Meeting was headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Ahmed Shah and was host to special dignitaries from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) including the President Mr. Davinder Batra as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the FIH, Mr. Thiery Weil. Both dignitaries shared their remarks with the Board of Directors of the AHF, also present at the meeting and highlighted the agenda the FIH plans to follow.

They also took notice of the crucial contributions put forward by the AHF that play a vital role in the betterment and advancement of the sport not only continentally but also globally.

The President of the AHF, accompanied by the Chief Executive of the Asian Hockey Federation Mr. Tayyab Ikram gave much direction to the meeting where a number of points were under discussion such as the recently conducted events, the future ones as well as the progress made on the digital and communication fronts to take Hockey and AHF to everyone’s doorstep. The efforts to expand hockey through these mediums were greatly admired with the board, with an even greater target audience reach and expansion in the times to come.

What was also discussed was the role of the corporate and commercial partners and how these arrangements had been mutually beneficial. Mr. Yokoyama Hide, who also is chairing the Development and Engagement Committee, under the banner of the AHF was greatly admired for his efforts, contribution and commitment.

Several other projects such as the AHF Pitch Development project, Coaching, and Umpiring Courses and others were discussed with the Board briefed in much details about the results the AHF has achieved and what it plans to achieve in the future.
