Donghae: Korea lift the trophy of the 2018 Donghae Women’s Asian Champions Trophy, beating India by 1 – 0 in the Final match of the tournament. It is the third title for Korea in four appearances at the event, making them the leader in the trophies table. China defeated Malaysia by 2 – 0 to win Bronze.

Korea dominated the match as they enjoyed most of the possession in the match, winning 4 penalty corners. India looked dangerous on the counters however the Korean defense maintained a tight formation and disallowed any Indian attempts at the goal. The only goal of the Final came from Youngsil Lee in the 24th minute when she powered the ball home, beating India no. 11, Savita, who has had a remarkable tournament. In the third-fourth position math, China showed their superiority over a fighting Malaysian Team, that showed true spirit throughout the tournament. Xiaoming Song gave the number one side the lead in the first quarter after she deflected the ball into the goal from the penalty corner. Malaysia then missed two easy chances from short-corners to take the lead but were unable to covert either one of them.  Xiaoming Song scored again in the 53rd, and her brace brought China to the podium, to lift Bronze!
