Lucknow, 11th April 2023: Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation crowned Champions of the 2nd Khelo India Women’s Hockey League 2022 (U-21) today in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Sports Hostel Odisha finished at 3rd Position.
Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation won the 2nd Edition of the Khelo India Women’s Hockey League 2022 (U-21) by defeating HAR Hockey Academy 2-0 in the Final. Tannu (12′) scored the first goal for Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation, and Sakshi Rana (31′) converted a penalty corner early in the third quarter to secure a hard-fought victory for her side.
In the 3/4th match, Sports Hostel Odisha defeated SAI Bal 3-1. Dipi Monika Toppo (18′), Team Captain Mamita Oram (24′), and Sunelita Toppo (41′) scored for Sports Hostel Odisha, while Gayatri Gedela (22′) scored the lone goal for SAI Bal.
SAI Shakti defeated Khalsa Hockey Academy Amritsar by a 5-2 margin in the 5/6th place match. The goalscorers for SAI Shakti were Poonam Mundu (21’, 27’), Sunita Kumari (37’), Sakshi Shukla (43’), and Lanleibi Chanu Khundrakpam (58’). Meanwhile, Anjali Panwar (9’, 34’) scored a brace for Khalsa Hockey Academy Amritsar.
HIM Academy defeated Salute Hockey Academy by 3-2 in the 7/8th place match to secure 7th place. Sana (3’) scored the opening goal for HIM Academy. She was followed by Team Captain Manita (26’) and Subham (46’). Meanwhile, Shivani Kumari (24’) and Kajal (58’) scored one goal each for Salute Hockey Academy.
