The Haier Hockey Series Open has commenced and is scheduled to take place from the 17th till the 22nd of December in Lahore, Pakistan at the National Hockey Stadium. The HSO is set to welcome 4 teams Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. With a more diverse and unique representation from Asia, this serves as an excellent opportunity to gain more exposure at the International level.
Lahore’s National Hockey Stadium has been chosen as the venue, a stadium having hosted World Cups and Champions Trophy serves as the field of play for the 6-day series. The 1990 Hockey World Cup was also held in Lahore’s National Hockey Stadium, where Pakistan lost the final to the Netherlands in front of a packed stadium. Each side is scheduled to play 3 matches at the Hockey Series Open; one each against the remaining 3 sides.
