Singapore: Malaysian Women’s side (WR:22) with an impressive unbeaten tournament, won the gold medal, defeating Thailand by 6-0 in the final. Thailand men’s side also made it to the finals where they faced the host nation, Singapore. The hosts dominated the match and won with a comfortable 4-1 margin.

It was rejoice for Thailand all around, however, as it is the only Asian team to have both its teams in the Hockey Series Finals. Thailand has been an emerging force in Asian Hockey and their performances are a reflection of the efforts they have put-in towards the games. Malaysian women’s side, after an impressive Dongahe Women’s Asian Champions Trophy, was a mismatch for the rest of the teams as they cruised through the tournament with some heavy wins.

The top goal scorer award was shared between Singapore’s Johari and Thailand’s Thanakrit Boon-Art, both of whom scored eight goals.
