KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Thursday morning, on the 31st of January 2019, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah of central Pahang state was crowned the new King of Malaysia. He will be Malaysia’s 16th King under the unique rotating monarchy system.

Perak’s Sultan Nazrin Shah took the oath of office as the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

HRH Sultan Abdullah, 59, took oath of office in a nationally televised ceremony earlier today in Malaysia. The ceremony was held in a large hall in the national palace. Quite a few dignitaries, including Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and his Cabinet ministers, were in attendance.

We wish our President the very best for his tenure as King of Malaysia.
