Indonesia to host Hero Asia Cup 2022

Jakarta, Indonesia: The Asian Hockey Federation has allocated the hosting rights of the Hero Asia Cup 2022 to Indonesia Hockey Federation (FHI). The agreement signing was hosted today by the Indonesia National Olympic Committee in the presence of the President Indonesia Olympic Committee Mr Raja Sapta Oktohari.

The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Asian Hockey Federation Dato Tayyab Ikram and President Indonesia Hockey Federation Mr Mayjend TNI AD Budi Sulistijiono. President Indonesia Olympic Committee Mr Raja Sapta Oktohari singned the agreement as a witness.

 

The Hero Asia Cup 2022 is the top-tier Asian continental championship. It will serve as the qualifier to the FIH Men’s World Cup 2023. Top 4 teams from Hero Asia Cup 2022 will qualify to the FIH Men’s World Cup 2023. It will take place from 23 May to 1 June 2022 in Jakarta. The participants teams are India, Pakistan, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia (as the host) and two qualifiers from the Men’s AHF Cup 2022 currently taking place here in Jakarta. GBK Senayan Hockey Stadium Jakarta will host the splendid show of Hero Men’s Asia Cup 2022, the same venue where the 2018 Asian Games were held.
