The OCA Coordination Committee Meeting was held successfully on the 8th of September, 2020. Key updates from the meeting include:
The preparations for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 and are very successful. New infrastructure is being set up in Hangzhou for the 19th Asian Games, on a large scale. According to the internal communication of AHF with Hangzhou, the preparations are well underway and are on the fast track. The AHF intends that Hangzhou develops the latest Hockey infrastructure for the event, which will be of top international quality.
The AHF and China Hockey are working closely that Hangzhou will be a High-Performance Center for China and Asia. This center will serve as the best legacy of the Asian Games 2022 and will prove a means to educate the coming generations of athletes in China.
On this occasion, Dato’ Fumio Ogura, AHF President, commented: “I am very happy with the preparations of the 19th Asian Games set to be held in Hangzhou, China. The organizing committee is doing a fabulous job and things are moving along at a very fast pace. It is evident now, that we are gearing up for an amazing event in Hangzhou in 2022.”
