Men’s Asian Challenge 2017 hockey competition will be hosted in Yangon Myanmar from 25 November to 2 December.

The winning team will have chance to go to the Asian Challenge Cup Qualification in South Korea.

Hong Kong China – Myanmar – Brunei and Chinese Taipei men’s national teams will be participating in the event.

President, Myanmar Hockey Federation, Saw Lu Lu Htaw said “We were silver medalist in the last SEA Games. We’ve also beaten these participant teams. So I think there are many possibilities to get wins in this upcoming challenge.”

Myanmar, Chinese Tapei, Hong Kong China and Brunei will participate in the challenge. There are 25 players in Myanmar team and they have been training with Pakistani coach since the last SEA Games.

President, Myanmar Hockey Federation, Saw Lu Lu Htaw said “This challenge is very important for us as it will give us world ranking score. Even participating in SEA Games can’t earn world ranking score. We can get it just by participating in the challenge and winning the matches as well. So I’m confident on it.”
