Fourth day of competition at the Men's Junior Asia Cup 2023 with only two matches today,

One between Thailand and Chinese Taipei and the other between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan, one for Pool A and the other for Pool B.

THAILAND 4 VS CHINESE TAIPAEI 2 (POOL A)

One of the two matches of the day would be between the team at the bottom of the standings against the team at the bottom of the Pool A standings.

It was a tough match with both teams trying to break their opponent’s lines, but both were very well positioned and blocking the opposing team’s entries.

It was the team in blue who started with the first goal of the match scored by WEI Cheng-Ze.

Those in white did not lag and managed to score three goals to put a considerable lead over Chinese Taipei. The goals came from CHUEAMKAEW Kritsada,PHOKPHUN Udomchok and PHUMEE Kritsana to reverse the result and show the offensive power of the Thai team.

In the 33rd minute CHEN Yung-Sheng tried to pull one back for his team, making the score 3-2 in a very tight match, but it was not enough as PHUMEE Kritsana made it 4-2 in the 48th minute.

Thailand lifts its head with these three points and awaits to face India, while Chinese Taipei will play against Japan.

The best player of the match was Thailand’s captain CHUEAMKAEW Kritsada, who scored one of the goals.

BANGLADESH 3 VS UZBEKISTAN 1 (POOL B)

Second and last match of the day between two Pool B teams, where Bangladesh was looking for their second win and Uzbekistan wanted to get their first 3 points.

The match was mostly controlled by Bangladesh who came very confident from their last match, on their side the blue team defended in the best possible way taking advantage of the spaces left by the green team.

The first goal of the match came at the end of the first quarter from a penalty corner scored by ISLAM Amirul to make it 1-0.

In the second quarter the same player, ISLAM Amirul made it 2-0 again from a penalty corner. Uzbekistan wanted to move forward but could not break the green team’s circle.

Bangladesh converted again in the 34th minute with a goal by UDDIN Md to make it 3-0, but in the 55th minute they were able to make it 3-1 with a goal by HUSANOV Fozilbek.

The green and blue team added another three points and will define their place against Korea, while Uzbekistan will be looking for a win against the local team, Oman.
