Malaysian Junior Hockey League concluded yesterday which is the top league competition being organized by Malaysian Hockey since 1987.
This year’s MJHL started on 13th July and concluded on 28th August 2022. Fifteen teams participated in the league, distributed into 2 groups. All international players participated and there were magnificent performances.
TNB MJHL Final 2022 (Women)
Women’s Final was scheduled for 28th August between MBPJ Black Widow vs. SSTMI-PKS Uniten.
In the first quarter of the final, both teams played extremely well but no goal was scored by any side.
Second quarter of the match: 25th minute Khairunnisa Ayuni Mohd Sharuddin by taking the advantage of plenty corner magnificently scored a goal.
In the third quarter, no team could score a goal.
In the fourth quarter, Norshafiqha Isaac scored a goal in 46th minutes in penalty stroke and in the 56th minutes Nur Shafika Mohd Sharuddin scored a goal in the penalty corner to take a lead of 2-1. Both teams performed really well.
SSTMI-PKS Uniten was named champion of the TNB MJHL 2022 for Women.
TNB MJHL Final 2022 (Men)
Men’s final was scheduled for 28 august 2022 between SSBJ THUNDERBOLTS and SMKDBL-PHJ-MSNJ.
In the first quarter at 6th minute, Muhammad Amirul Haniff Bin Mamat scored a magnificent goal in penalty corner and took the lead for his team.
No team could score a goal in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Perabu Tangaraja scored a goal at the 40th minute by taking the advantage of the penalty corner.
In the fourth quarter, 47th minute goal was scored by Muhammad Danish Aiman Bin Khairil Anuar. The 49th minute goal was claimed by Haiqal Bin Daus.
The game was called a 2-2 draw.
Match went on to the penalty shootouts, and the final score turned out to be 4-2 in favour of SSBJ THUNDERBOLTS – the Champions of the TNB MJHL Men’s Season 2022
