Malaysian mega hockey event Malaysian Hockey League TNB (Men) starts today.
Eight teams are participating in this Premier League,
- Terengganu Hockey Team (THT)
- Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL)
- Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)
- TNB Thunderbolts
- Maybank
- Universiti Tekonologi Mara (UITM HA)
- Sabah and
- Nurinsafi HT
Three matches have been planned for the opening rounds today.
A new one-round format introduced with 2 semis back-to-back matches this year shortens the duration of the league due to the approach of bubble sports camp base where welfare and safety is the utmost priority.
The top team takes the League title while the top four qualify for the semi-finals of the TNB Cup. In the absence of foreign players this year, attention will certainly be on local stars who are expected to shine for their respective teams.
