Myanmar hosts 5-day Level 2 Coaching Course

Conducted by Mr. Rashad Mahmood Butt, a former World Cup and Olympics Umpire

Naypyidaw, Myanmar: The National Umpiring Course, as part of the AHF Development, Coaching and Education Program 2018, was conducted from the 1stto 5thof August in Myanmar. The Coaching Course was organized by the Myanmar Hockey Federation and conducted by the former World Cup and the Olympics umpire Mr. Rashad Mahmood Butt.

The President of the Myanmar Hockey Association Mr. Htaw Saw Lu Lu showed great interest in the program. He said “We are lucky to have the Level 2 Coaching Course conducted in Myanamr. This is a great opportunity for our players to develop their game both now and for future generations to come”. The CEO of the Asian Hockey Federation Mr. Dato Tayyab Ikram has also been quite keen with the development of the game within Myanmar. He said that the South East nation has showcased significant development in the field of hockey in recent years. The National Umpiring Course aims to extend those developments and presents a great platform for Myanmar to develop to be a top hockey nation.
