Rawalpindi, 30 December 2020: Attock Oil Refinery win Naseer Banda Hockey Tournament 2020.
Naseer Banda Hockey Tournament 2020 was organized at Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Stadium under the auspices of District Hockey Association Rawalpindi and District Sports Department. Attock Oil Refinery won the final 3-0. Junaid Butt, Umar Rasheed and Roman scored one goal each for the winning team.
The special guest of today’s match was Major Retired Anwarulhaq. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, District Sports Officer Shams Tauheed Abbasi, Tehsil Sports Officer Raja Shahid Iqbal, Former President District Hockey Association Rawalpindi Shuja Iqbal Raja, Former General Secretary District Hockey Apart from Sheikh Ali Abid, General Secretary, District Hockey Association, Rawalpindi, all the officials of District Hockey Association, Rawalpindi were present during the final match.
The final match was supervised by Sohail Akram Janjua, International Hockey Umpire, and Muhammad Azeem Jutt National Hockey Umpire while the reserve umpire was Sajid Raza. Sheikh Furqan, Mohammad Ashraf, and Sheikh Ali Abid performed the duties of technical officer in the field jury.
At the closing ceremony of the match, the guests paid tribute to the District Hockey Association Rawalpindi and the District Sports Department for bringing the 16th consecutive event to a successful conclusion, and a large number of hockey fans watched the full match of the event.
