Rawalpindi, Pakistan: Under the auspices of Pakistan Hockey Federation, five matches were played on the third day of National Senior Hockey Championship 2020. Former MD of Mari Petroleum Lt. Gen. R. Ashfaq Nadeem and Gen. R. Asghar Nawaz specially watched the match between Pakistan Army and Mari Petroleum. DG Army Sports Directorate Brigadier Zaheer, Sports Consultant Mari Petroleum Brigadier Saleem Nawaz, and Lieutenant Colonel Mohsin Ali Khan were present. He was accompanied by Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr., members Olympian Ayaz Mahmood, Olympian Nasir Ali, Olympian Wasim Feroze and Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali.
Syed Zahir Shah has been assigned the responsibilities of Tournament Director by Pakistan Hockey Federation to supervise the ongoing PHF Premier Domestic Event at Mari Petroleum Astroturf Hockey Stadium Ayub Park Rawalpindi hosted by Mari Petroleum Company while Hassan Akhtar Chaudhry, Dr. Ahsan Tanveer and Mohammad Yaseen have been appointed as Assistant Tournament Directors. International Butts Manager Rashid Butt has been appointed as the Umpire Manager of this event.
The first match was played between National Bank of Pakistan and Hinjab in which National Bank of Pakistan defeated Punjab 1-2. Aamir Ali and Abu Bakar scored one goal each for National Bank of Pakistan, while Hanan scored the only goal for Punjab. The match was supervised by umpires Mahmood Ali and Faisal Siam while Amir Hamza was the reserve umpire. Haroon Saeed and Mohammad Zahid performed the duties of judges and Mohammad Yaqub performed his professional duties as a technical officer.
The second match was played between Sui Southern and Pakistan Police which Sui Southern won 0-9. From Sui Southern, Zeeshan scored one goal, Ahmed Nadeem three, Mubashir Ali two, Ali Shan two and Mohammad Rizwan one. The match was supervised by umpires Amir Hamza and Sabteen Ali while Mazhar was the reserve umpire. The judges were Javed Siddique and Mohammad Yaqub while Haroon performed his professional duties as a technical officer.
The third match was played between Pakistan Wapda and Port Qasim. Pakistan WAPDA won 0-6. Aleem Bilal scored three goals, Rana Waheed, Sohail Anjum and Amjad Ali scored one goal each for Pakistan WAPDA. The match was supervised by umpires Haroon Rashid and Kamran Hussain while Mubashir Ali was the reserve umpire. Judges Shahid Gul and Mohammad Zahid while performing their professional duties as Technical Officers.
The fourth match was played between Pakistan Army and Mari Petroleum which Mari Petroleum won 1-2. Umair Sattar scored both the goals for Mari Petroleum. Arsalan scored the only goal of the match for Pakistan Army. The match was supervised by umpires Hafiz Atif Malik and Sohail Janjua while Sabteen Ali was the umpire. The judges were Shafqat Malik and Javed Siddique while Hamza Tufail performed his professional duties as a technical officer.
The fifth match of the event was played between Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force which Navy won 0-3. Babar Hussain, Hamad Ali and Noman Janjua scored for Pakistan Navy. The match was supervised by umpires Waqas Butt and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din while Faisal was the reserve umpire. The judges were Hamza Tufail and Saqib while Shafqat Malik performed his professional duties as a technical officer.
