National Senior Hockey Championship, Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Day 6 Report

Under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, five matches were played on the sixth day of National Senior Hockey Championship 2020. The Chief Guest on the occasion was DG Brigadier (retd) Muhammad Asif Akhtar of Pakistan Army Heritage Foundation. Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, was also present. Apart from them, Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr., members Olympian Khalid Hameed, Olympian Ayaz Mahmood, Olympian Khalid Hameed, Olympian Nasir Ali, Olympian Wasim Feroze reviewed the performance of the athletes.

Event Hosted by Mari Petroleum Company Mari Petroleum Astroturf Hockey Stadium Ayub Park Rawalpindi to supervise the ongoing PHF Premier Domestic Event has been assigned the responsibilities of Tournament Director by Pakistan Hockey Federation Syed Hassan Zahir Shah while Hassan Akhtar Chaudhry, Dr. Ahsan Tanveer, and Mohammad Yaseen have been appointed as Assistant Tournament Directors. International Butts Manager Rashid Butt has been appointed as the Empire Manager of this event.

The first match of the sixth day of the event was played between Port Qasim and Pakistan Police in which Port Qasim defeated Pakistan Police 1-4. From Port Qasim, Sami, Abuzar Emad, Taha scored one goal each. Mohsin scored the lone goal for Pakistan Police. The match was supervised by umpires Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Amir Hamza while Mubashir was the reserve umpire. The judges were Haroon and Javed Sadiq while Ali Abbas performed his professional duties as a technical officer.

The second match was played between Mari National Bank of Pakistan Air Force and Sui Southern. Sui Southern won 1-7. Mubashir scored five goals for Sui Southern during the penalty corner, while Ahmed Nadeem scored one goal, while Rizwan Ali scored the only goal for the Air Force. The match was supervised by umpires Sohail Akram Janjua and Mazhar. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din was the reserve umpire. Ali Abbas and Shafqat Malik acted as judges while Haroon performed his professional duties as a technical officer.

The third match was played between Pakistan Wapda and Mari Petroleum which Pakistan Wapda won 1-3. Ejaz, Aleem Bilal, and Aleem Usman scored one goal each for Pakistan WAPDA while Tanzeem Al Hassan scored for Mari Petroleum. The match was supervised by umpires Atif Malik and Yasir Khurshid while Ghulam Mazhar was the reserve umpire. Shafqat Malik and Zahid acted as judges while Shahid Gul performed his professional duties as a technical officer.

The fourth match of the event was played between the Pakistan Army and the National Bank of Pakistan which was won by National Bank 2-4. Bilal Qadir scored one, Arsalan Qadir scored two and Aamir scored one. Wasim and Farhan scored one goal each for Pakistan Army. The match was supervised by umpires Haroon and Waqas Butt while Hafiz Atif Latif was the reserve umpire. The judges were Zahid, Javed, and Saqib while Mohammad Yaqub performed his professional duties as a technical officer.

The fifth match of the event was played between Pakistan Navy and Punjab. Pakistan Navy won 1-3. Noman, Akbar, and Hammad scored one goal each for Pakistan Navy while Zain scored the only goal for Punjab. The match was supervised by umpires Sabteen Raza and Mahmood Ali while the reserve umpire was Faisal. The judges were Saqib Niaz and Mohammad Yaqub while Shahid Rabbani performed his professional duties as a technical officer.
