OCA Director General appointed hon. director of Hangzhou Asian Games Museum

Husain Al-Musallam, has been appointed Honorary Director of the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum.
The occasion was marked by the presentation of a letter of appointment by the Deputy Secretary General of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, Chen Weiqiang, at the Sokha Hotel in Phnom Penh on Sunday.
The museum is planned to open at the end of this year and will promote Hangzhou’s hosting of the 19th Asian Games to take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
“It is a great honour to be appointed Honorary Director of the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum,” said Mr Al-Musallam.
“Once again it shows the cooperation and strong ties between the OCA, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee and the city of Hangzhou.
“We are confident that the 19th Asian Games will be a big success and will set a new benchmark in terms of ‘smart’ technology in all aspects of operations and management.
“I would like to thank HAGOC, and Vice Mayor Mr Chen Weiqiang in particular, for this prestigious appointment. We look forward to visiting the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum in the near future.”
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the OCA General Assembly meetings at which HAGOC will provide a detailed report on preparations for the 19th Asian Games.
Located in Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, the Hangzhou Asian Games Museum, with an exhibition area of about 5,400 square meters, is to showcase the preparation process of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
