A big name in the sports world, Brigadier Abdul Hameed Hameedi has unfortunately passed away. The Asian Hockey Federation is deeply saddened by the sudden demise of a former Olympian and former Director General of Pakistan Sports Board. He was truly a legend in the world of Sports in Pakistan. He was also the Captain of the Pakistani Hockey Team that won the gold medal in 1960. After his retirement from professional competition, he managed the national team on many occasions, including during 1966 and 1970 Asian Games.
