Pakistan Hockey Federation organizes Fitness Performance Tests for its Athletes

Fitness tests of 32 players for the PHF Central contract continue at Lahore. The physical fitness and skill level of the players will be assessed in a two-day session. The Head Coach of the National Hockey Team Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Chairman National Hockey Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Junior are reviewing the performances of the players.

According to details, two-day fitness performance tests of 32 players have started at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore to select and categorize the players for the Central Contract by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. The performance of the players will be tested on a monthly basis, the top 20 players will be offered central contracts, the players in the central contract will be placed in A, B and C categories according to their performances. A category player will get Rs 50,000, a B category player will get Rs 40,000 and a C category player will get Rs 30,000. Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Manzoor Jr. and Head Coach Khawaja Junaid will send recommendations to PHF within 3 days. The final approval of Central Contact will be given by President PHF Brigadier Khalid Sajjad Khokhar. The top 32 senior and junior players of the PHF Players Pool have been called up for PHF Central Contract. Initially, 20 players will be offered PHF Central Contract; future training programs including video sessions of players will be released every month. All 32 players at the fitness performance camp have reported.
