Pakistan hosts Gold Cup Hockey Tournament

Chief minister Gold Cup Hockey Tournament took place in Gojra, Pakistan, it finished on the 7th of February. The tournament was a good chance for the local teams to express their talent and show off their hard work. It was a full house at the stadium as the locals watched all matches with full interest. The matches were entertaining and a treat to watch.

 

The final match was played out between Pakistan Army and Mari Petroleum. Rizwan senior was the captain of Pakistan Army. It was a great encounter as, both teams looked impressive and showed technical abilities of the highest standard. Both teams created a lot of chances. Eventually the match was decided on penalties and Mari petroleum came out on top making them the winners of the Gold Cup. Pakistan navy finished in third place, while Tahir Zaman Academy came in fourth place.

 

The event was attended by a number of Chief guests including Special Commissioner Toba Amina Munir, the Director General Army sports Mr. Bilal Warrich and lastly Lieutenant Colonel Mohsin Ali. Brigadier Salim Vaz donated RS 200,000 for the welfare of the national sport.
