The team’s first Olympic Game was played in London, 1948, where they finished in the 4th place. The national team proved to be an early power of world hockey, winning the Gold medal three times: first in Rome 1960, then in Mexico 1968 and for the last time in Los Angeles 1984.

Pakistan’s worst performance in an Olympic game was in Beijing 2018, when they could not reach semi-finals during the preliminary rounds and finished in the 8th place after losing to New Zealand by 4-2.

The team currently holds the 17th place in the world ranking.

Pakistan’s matches for the Olympic Qualifiers will take place in the Wagener Stadium, Amstelveen, against the Netherlands.
