On the 26th of April, the Afghanistan Hockey Federation hosted and organized the Peace Championship of Hockey in the Khost province of Afghanistan. Preparations for the tournament were great and everyone saw some exciting matches. The tournament categorized the ages of players as under 14 and under 19 years old out of national teams players.
It saw members of the local government, members of Khost Hockey Association and also Afghanistan Hockey Federation present at the event including the president of the Afghanistan Hockey Federation Mr. Mustafa Sadat. The event was concluded successfully and initiatives like these are seeing a wide spread of Hockey in Afghanistan.
The AHF wishes the Afghanistan Hockey Federation the best for this endeavor. We take great pride in such initiatives and hope to see similar efforts in the future.
