PHF to conduct a four-team hockey series

A four-team hockey series under the auspices of PHF will be held in Lahore from July 10 to 18 in preparation for the National Junior Hockey Team’s Junior World Cup. Event Officers, announced, will perform managerial duties. PHF veteran technical officials and umpires will perform their professional responsibilities in the series.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation is organizing a hockey series between the national junior hockey team and the top three teams of PHF affiliated events in preparation for the national junior hockey team to participate in the Junior World Cup. The four-team hockey series will be played on a league basis at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore. In which the players of National Junior Team of Pakistan as well as junior players of top three teams of the country WAPDA, National Bank and Sui Southern Gas will show the essence of their abilities in the field of play.

Veteran international umpires and technical officials have been deployed by the Pakistan Hockey Federation for the best organization of the event. PHF has appointed Lieutenant Colonel (R) Asif Naz Khokhar as Tournament Director. FIH Umpires Manager Rashid Butt will be the Umpires Manager. The technical officials’ panel includes Syed Ali Abbas, Mohammad Naeem and Shafqat Malik, while the umpires’ panel includes Hafiz Atif Malik, Yasir Khurshid and Syed Sibtain Raza.

Tournament Director Lt. Col. Asif Naz Khokhar will have a meeting with the event officials on July 9 at 4 pm while the meeting with the officials of the teams involved in the event will be held on July 9 at 5 pm.
