Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship 2021 continues in Lahore, Pakistan

Lahore, January 26, 2021: Sahiwal, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad divisions defeated their rivals, Sahiwal defeated Gujranwala 2-0, Lahore defeated Bahawalpur 2-1, Multan defeated DG. Khan 3-0 and Faisalabad beat Rawalpindi 5-2, Director Masood Textile Group Nasir Ali Zia gave cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 to the best performing players.

Hockey competitions continued on the second day of the first Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Division Hockey Championship 2021 under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab in collaboration with PHF and Punjab Hockey Association. Didi, Director Masood Textile Group Nasir Ali Zia gave cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 to the best performing players. According to the details, Sahiwal Division defeated Gujranwala Division 2-0 in the first match on the second day of the championship. Sahiwal Division team kept their grip on the match and scored the first goal through penalty corner in the 5th minute to take the lead against Gujranwala Division. In the 29th minute of the match, Sahiwal Division team scored the second goal. In the second match Lahore Division defeated Bahawalpur Division 2-1. In the 27th minute of the match Bahawalpur team strengthened their position by scoring a goal through penalty stroke but only two minutes later Lahore Division Team equalized the lead of Bahawalpur Division by scoring a field goal. In the 56th minute of the match, the players of Lahore Division made a great move and scored the second field goal. This lead was maintained till the end of the match. In the third match, Multan Division defeated DG Khan Division 3-0. Multan team strengthened their grip on the match by scoring field goals in the second, 10th and 13th minutes which lasted till the end of the match. In the fourth match, Faisalabad Division defeated Rawalpindi Division 5-2. The match got off to a thrilling start. , Rawalpindi team scored in the second minute through penalty corner in response to which Faisalabad team equalized the match by scoring in the fourth minute after which Faisalabad team scored in the 11th, 32nd, 39th and 47th minutes. I strengthened my position by scoring four more goals in a row, Rawalpindi scored the second goal in the 59th minute.

The special guest of this match was Nasir Ali Zia, Director, Masood Textile Group. The distinguished guest was warmly welcomed on arrival at the stadium and was also introduced to the players and team officials. Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh, Director Sports Punjab Muhammad Hafeez Bhatti, Deputy Director Sports Punjab Chand Parveen and former Deputy Director Sports Punjab Shahid Nizami were also present on the occasion. Special guest Nasir Ali Zia also gave cash prizes of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 to the best performing players.
