The Saudi Hockey federation held the Indoor 3rd Open Tournament in the Central region (Riyadh) for two days in a row on 17-18 Dec, 2021.
On the first day, the teams were divided into two groups (A & B). They played one round by system league (points) then the teams were ranked in each group from first place till third place.
On the second day, the winner by the 1st place in group A played with the second place in group B, 1st place winner in group B played with the second place in group A, winners from both matches played in the final match & loser from both matches played for 3rd & 4th place.
1st place winner is NAQI Strikers team, the winner for the 2nd place is Jubail Hockey Club, and the 3rd place winner is Dammam Strikers. The Top Scorer trophy won by Waqar Butt from NAQI Strikers Team. The Best Player trophy won by Matloob Dev from Jubail Hockey Club and the Best Goalkeeper trophy won by Amir Shahzad from NAQI Strikers Team.
The tournament was a big success. 6 teams competed for the title. 77 goals were scored during all the matches played. 300 spectators were there to enjoy the hockey show in Riyadh Tournament.
