Back
The first Semi Finalist; China beat Korea 3-2 in the highly anticipated match. The Chinese eves were rocked in the 6th minute when Hyejin Cho scored in the opening minutes. Meiyu Liang equalized in the 28th minute with a strike that beat the goalie. Jiaqi made it 2 for China in the 40th minute mark. The third goal from China came from Tiantian Luo on the 51st minute and soon after Korea tried to make a comeback with a penalty corner strike from KIM Jongeun on the 58th minute. But that proved too little too late for the Koreans as China became the first finalists of the Women Asia Cup 2017.
The second semi final match was between India and Japan which ended in a similar fashion with the Indian eves winning with a 4 goal lead. Japan struggled to make a comeback after the bulk of the goals scored by the Indian team came very early in the match. Navjot Kaur and Gurjit Kaur scored three goals in total, 9`, 9` and 7 minutes. TSUJII Shiho capitalized on an opportunity to score a field goal on the 17th minute. And soon after ISHIBASHI Yui on the 28th minute gave Japan a glimmer of hope. That sign of hope was broken by LALREMSIAMI on the 38th minute and which proved to be the match decider. India face China at the final of the Women Asia Cup 2017.
