Teaching Hockey: Basic Skills, Methods & Strategies workshop took place recently in Qatar. A total of 122 women attended the workshop. The participants came from different educational institutions from across Qatar. They were mainly from the school’s respective physical education department. They came from 19 Primary Girls schools, 14 Preparatory Girl’s schools, 11 Secondary Girl’s Schools and 9 Boys Primary Schools.
The workshop was a big success and saw a large turnout of audience from all across Qatar. The participants of the course were taught the basics of teaching hockey at an educational level. They were given tips on how better to impart education about hockey to young individuals and specific strategies which can be used to achieve this aim. The AHF wishes to see similar initiatives in the future which enable and promote the growth of hockey at a grassroots level.
