Patron Pakistan Navy Hockey, Commodore Kashif Munir’s press conference with Olympians Nasir Ali, Samiullah and Hanif Khan at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium
The 3rd Chief of Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament will start from September 21 at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium. 8 teams will participate in the tournament which will continue till September 28. Prize money of Rs 42 lakh will be distributed in the tournament. Port Qasim has been included in the event in place of Sui Southern Gas Company team. Rs 17 lakh will be given to the winning team, Rs 13 lakh to the runner-up and Rs 10 lakh to the third position.
Kashf Munir: In the past, Pakistan hockey team has proved its mettle. More tournaments must be held to bring back the lost ground of hockey. Prizes have also been set aside for the best performing players. Pakistan Navy is working for the promotion of sports. All players must be vaccinated in order to participate in the event.
Olympian Hanif Khan: Former Navy Commander Karachi Arifullah Hussaini was at the forefront in promoting the national game. The tournament will help in promotion of the national game in the country.
Olympian Samiullah: Pakistan Navy has always given importance to the nation. Pakistan Navy team regularly participates in every event in the country.
TD Olympian Nasir Ali: All rules and regulations in the tournament will be strictly enforced.
