The Asian Hockey Federation today mourns the passing away of Mrs. Amrit Bose, who held many important positions in the hockey circuit in India and abroad. She passed away on Sunday, 20 June 2021.
As Mrs. Amrit Bose was a former Executive Board Member of the Asian Hockey Federation, President Fumio Ogura and Chief Executive & Secretary General Dato Tayyab knew her well and are shocked to hear of this news.
She also held other key positions in hockey, namely as Indian Women’s Hockey Federation Secretary, an International Technical Official and President of the Delhi Women Hockey Association.
Offering words of condolence for the bereaved family, President AHF Fumio Ogura said: “It is very saddening to learn of this untimely loss. I will pray for the departed and also that her family find solace in this tough time.”
Expressing his grief over the matter, AHF Chief Executive & Secretary General, Dato Tayyab Ikram said: “I am shocked to hear of this. I had a friendly working relationship with Mrs. Amrit. This is indeed sad news. I pray that the departed soul finds peace, and that her family and friends can find the courage to cope with this immense loss.”
