The national hockey training camp of 36 players will start from August 21 at the Naseer Banda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad, under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation. The Asian Games are being held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8. The five-member National Hockey Selection Committee under the leadership of Olympian Kaleemullah made recommendations to include the 36 players in the camp taking into account the performance of the players. A part of the camp organized by the PHF for the preparation of the games has been made and will report to the camp commandant and head coach Olympian Shahnaz Shaikh on August 21 by 4 pm.
