The last few weeks have seen considerable developments and committed remarks from noted personalities regarding the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Tokyo 2020 is fast becoming a reality.
The AHF will be presenting a new regular series, called the Tokyo Round-up, aimed at providing you the latest news about the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The media team at AHF had the opportunity to sit with AHF Chief Executive, Dato Tayyab Ikram when he shared the following thoughts:
“We need to manage and handle the risks carefully, and we need to create a safe environment for our key clients, the athletes as well as the general public. For the very first time, alongside the routine training, athletes need to train themselves additionally to cope with the COVID-19 challenge during the Olympics.”
In response to a question, he further added, “Olympics should take place not only because it is a scheduled event but also a need of the time, symbol of hope, and a positive message of global stability in the wake of the disastrous event of COVID-19.”
“It is good to see the new Prime Minister is committed to delivering the Olympic games. The entire Hockey Family appreciates the efforts of President Thomas Bach in making Tokyo 2020 a reality. He has exhibited truly exemplary leadership in handling the matter.”, he added.
