And we are done with Day 3 of the event! The World Hockey League 2016 which is being held at the Sengkang Stadium in Singapore is going successfully. Star hockey players have invaded the Sengkang Stadium, enrapturing the spectators with their hockey skills.

There was only one match in the Men’s category, for the day. The spectators saw Thailand and China come head to head on the field. It seemed as if it was China’s day as China attacked the Thailand defender and scored goal after goal. By the end of the first half, China’s hockey team had scored three goals while Thailand failed to score any. The second proved to be more interesting as both teams tried their best to defeat the other. While Thailand managed to score one goal, China scored eight more and grabbed hold of another win in the league. With a second consecutive win, the Chinese Men’s team seems to be on the right track.

The schedule for the female hockey events was a little busy today. Three matches were held. The first one was between Kazakhstan and Brunei. Kazakhstan clean sweeped the Brunei Hockey team after scoring eight goals against them. Brunei seems to be having a hard time in the league but we hope it will perform better in the next match against Cambodia.

The second match was held between Thailand and Sri Lanka, where Thailand scored nine goals against Sri Lanka and drove it to its third loss. Thailand on the other hand gained its third consecutive win in HWL 2016. Sakunpithak Tikhamporn from the Thailand Women’s Hockey team displayed impeccable skills during the match, scoring three goals for her team.

The third match for the day, in the Female category, was held between Hong Kong and Singapore. Hong Kong’s luck did not hold up today as its Women’s Hockey team was unable to score even a single goal and lost to the Singaporean team which managed to score one goal today. However, it was not a one sided match as both teams appeared strong and they put up an enjoyable match for the audience. Eunice Teng finally broke the suspense and scored a goal, helping her team win in the process.
