The UAE Hockey Federation held a Goodwill 6 aside Hockey Tournament at AL Hadaf play ground, Al Nahida, Sharjah on the 31st January 2020. The following 8 teams participated in the tournament.

The event was organized by UAE Hockey Federation, it was a great opportunity for all age groups to show their talent and skills. This event helped to promote the sport of Hockey in UAE and also increased awareness of the game amongst locals. Mr. Atiq Juma the General Secretary of UAE Hockey Federation was the chief guest of this remarkable event. The matches were supervised by A-Grade Umpires.
Falcon green were named the winners of the tournament after an impressive run of matches. Federation Youth Hockey team Red were the runner-ups. All the players were really motivated and happy with this event, as it gave them a chance to express their hard work over the last years. Rahul Rajendran and Ahmad Majed were named captains of their respective teams. Rahul Rajendran was also the top goal scorer of the tournament with 4 goals.
Mr. Is Al Banna the President of the UAE Hockey Federation was impressed by the way things turned out. He was delighted with the success of the event, an important feature of the event was that all age groups participated, giving the youth a chance. The UAE National players also took a part in the tournament. All and all it was a great event, we are hopeful to see the game of Hockey grow in UAE and events like these really contribute towards the cause.
